Penza, 6 July 2011. PenzaNews. The Penza region is a region-donor for sports development in Russia. Such opinion was expressed by the deputy minister of sports, tourism and youth policy of the Russian Federation Pavel Kolobkov during the opening ceremony of IV Russian-Chinese Youth Games which took place in Penza on Tuesday, July, 5th.

The deputy minister said: "The international competitions on swimming, diving and a number of other public events are hold in Penza. There is a well-working system of organizing them. Thus, the Penza region is the region-donor for us where serious trainers work".

He underlined that such competitions play a great role in sports propagation.

Pavel Kolobkov said: "Besides, it was important for us to show to our Chinese friends that there are advanced regions in Russia where much attention is given to the development of physical training".

The federal official summarized: "I'm first time in Penza, those things which I managed to see today impressed me greatly. For example, the sports palace "Burtasy" is the training center of the Russian gymnasts. Besides, diving competitions of any level divers can be hold there. Therefore I have no doubt at all that Penza can held more important competitions. I hope the governor Vasily Bochkarev will support us in it".
