Penza, 28 July 2011. PenzaNews. A number of the sport and propaganda actions devoted to the World day of chess which is ususally celebrated on July, 20th, was hold in the Penza region last week.

According to the press-service of the Ministry of Education of the region, draughts and chess tournaments "Make a move" took place in country recreation camps "Chayka", "Luch", "Raduga" and "Zvezdochka".

The press-service said: "Thematic actions were organized in school camps of Penza, in sport center and at school sport fields. In comprehensive schools and libraries were hold quizzes, master classes, presentation conversations and lectures about chess and friendly match".

Days of chess were organized in Gorodishchensky, Kamensky, Kuznetsky, Nizhnelomovsky, Penzensky, Mokshansky and Serdobsky areas, in Zarechny and Kuznetsk.
