Penza, 15 August 2011. PenzaNews. The second annual tournament on flag-football among fans took place at stadium "Souz" in Penza last Sunday, August, 14th. According to the head coach of the team of the American football "Feniksy" Alexey Kazantsev, flag-football is a contactless version of American football where blocking and captures are forbidden. The game purpose is to bring a ball to a test zone of the contender.

Before the beginning of matches for the participants who don't know the rules of the game, organizers make training performance.

He said: "If the judge notices any scandalous actions, captures, pushing, blows, blocking or any unsportsmanlike behavior game stops and the participant leaves till the end of the tournament".

Four teams of 5 persons were formed who got the names "Filipinos", "Blitz", "Krizhovnik" and "Vedroidy". After three games the leader of tournament "the Filipinos" who the first victory in fight with "Vedroidami" having score 20:0 and beat "Gooseberry" 26:20 in final game.

The team "Blitz" wonin the match for the third place with the score 26:0.

Alexey Kazantsev said: "An overall objective of carrying out such tournaments among fans is popularization of this sport. Now flag-football doesn't have a lot of fans in Russia, we invite everybody to take part in the competitions".
