Penza, 24 August 2011. PenzaNews. The pupil of teenage club "Atlant" of Serdobsk of the Penza region Maxim Sharikov as a part of Russian national team will take part in the World championship among juniors on power lifting which will take place in Canada from August, 29th till September, 5th.

According to the internet service "Penza-sport", sportsmen from 40 countries will contend for the championship.

In 2009 Maxim Sharikov took part in the World championship which was held in Brazil and won a silver medal in absolute superiority in his weight category. During the same season the master of sports of the international class won "gold" on junior championship of Russia, having set a country record in knee-bend with a barbell of 342.5 kg. In 2010 the weight-lifter from Serdobsk became the champion of Europe.

Many times teenage club "Atlant" won first place of the regional review-competition of the best sports-mass and health and fitness work.
