Penza, 26 September 2011. PenzaNews. All-Russia day of race "Cross of nations — 2011" took place on Olympic avenue in Penza on Sunday, September, 25th.

More than 9 thousand persons competed in a race of 4, 6, 8 or 12 kilometers.

Professional sportsmen who struggled for awards of the Ministry of Sport Tourism of Russia started the competition. Children participated in the next race. The heads of the enterprises and organizations, representatives of administrations of Penza and disctricts of the city took part in a race at 11.20.

The press-service of city administration said: "The main and the most numerous race began at 12 o'clock. All residents of Penza who competed in this race were divided into 4 teams of Pervomaysky, Octobrsky, Leninsky and Zheleznodorozhny districts of Penza".

Winners of the cross got diplomas, cups and prizes.
