Penza, 24 October 2011. PenzaNews. Penza American football team "Phoenixes" won “Volzhskie Korshuny” in the third match within the limits of tournament “Cup of Volga”. The match took place in Surovikine of the Volgograd region on October, 22nd.

The head coach and captain Alexey Kazantsev said: “When the game started we kicked a goal at once and then we managed to return the ball. We got a short field and brought touchdown. Then, due to excellent actions of fullbacks the attack received again a short field and additional points and before the end of the second quarter “Phoenixes” managed to make one more touchdown and the score was 22:0 before the break”.

As he said, after a break the fullbacks worked successfully and the attack managed to become stronger, having established the definitive account of a meeting 30:0 in favor of a command from Penza.

He said: “I’d like to appreciate a running back of “Phoenixes” Denis Bardin who managed to bring two touchdowns and two realizations”.

During “Cup of Volga” Penza team will hold the following match at home with “Samara Burevestniki” on November, 12th.

Alexey Kazantsev said: “The tournament will finish in Penza. It will be in the end of November or in the beginning of December”.
