Penza, 16 January 2012. PenzaNews. Competitions within the limits of Volga Federal District cup on track and field athletics indoors will take place on the arena of school of the Olympic reserve in Penza on January, 20-22.

According Press Secretary Regional Sport Committee Julia Volkonitina, it is expected that 14 teams will take part in the competitions.

“The Championship Superiority is held among juniors aged under 20 and also young men and girls aged under 18. 20 sportsmen of each age group will compete”, she explained.

The interlocutor of the agency specified that the program of competitions includes hurdle race, relay-race, heel-and-toe walk, broad jump, high jump and jump with a pole, the shot put, five - six- and heptathlon.

Solemn opening of the competitions will take place at 15.00 Moscow time on Saturday, January, 21.
