Penza, 1 February 2012. PenzaNews. 123 Penza sportsmen were included in picked team of Russia on different sports in 2012. It’s 21 persons more than year before.

According to regional sport committee, 23 persons were included in a picked team on Rugby football, 17 people joined diving picked team, 12 sportsmen are in thriathlon and swimming picked team, on 10 — in national teams on track and field athletics and sports gymnastics, 9 persons — in cycling on a track team, 5 — in cycling BMX, 5 — in football team, 4 — in tennis and 3 — in basketball picked team.

“Besides, three persons joined picked national team on equestrian sport, 3 sportsmen - on rhythmic gymnastics picked, 2 persons — on Greco-Roman wrestling, 2 judoists and one person was included in picked national team on shooting from onions, tae kwon do and power lifting”, the department said.
