Sambo wrestler from Penza to compete in European Championship

Penza, 6 February 2012. PenzaNews. An athlete from Penza Dmitry Kopysov has been selected to compete in the 2012 Youth and Junior European Sambo Championship to be held in Bucharest, Romania on April 5-9.

As the administration of the Olympic Reserve School told news agency PenzaNews, the athlete won the right to compete in the international championship thanks to his high performance in the Russian Sambo Championship for young men born between 1994 and 1995 which took place in Mozhaisk on Sunday, February 5.

“Dmitry Kopysov came second in the 87 kg weight category,” specified the spokesperson of the Olympic Reserve School.
