Penza sportsman won European championship on powerlifting

Penza, 25 April 2012. PenzaNews. Penza athlete Sergey Denisov won gold medal of European championship on powerlifting in bench press and dead lift according to AWPC/WPC version and became the first in individual all-around competition.

According to the Internet service “Penza-Sport,” tournament took place in an exhibition center “VertolEkspo” in Rostov-on-Don. About 900 weightlifters from 27 European countries took part in the tournament.

Sergey Denisov performed in a junior age 75kg weight category. Following the results of the competitions, he was awarded the title of master of sports of international class.
