Penza, 9 July 2012. PenzaNews. All-Russian Youth Swimming Competition started in Water Sports Palace “Sura” in Penza on Monday, July 9. 300 swimmers of two age categories, girls of 11–12 years old and boys of 13–14 years old, will take part in the tournament.

As the press service of the All-Russian Swimming Federation told news agency “PenzaNews,” the swimmers, who had successfully performed in the All-Russian Children’s Festival “Veseluy Delfin” (Merry Dolphin) held on 25–29 April, take part in this competition.

“Young athletes will fight for the medals in triathlon, one of the disciplines of which – 200 meter medley – is compulsory for all the participants. Style of 50 meter and 100 meter swimming distance can be chosen by the swimmers,” said the press service.

The tournament is held for prizes of the All-Russian Swimming Federation.
