Penza, 10 August 2012. PenzaNews. Penza football club Zenit defeated Metallurg from Vyksa in a match of Russian Championship among the teams of the second division of “Center” zone in 2012–2013 season.

As the spokesman of Penza team Nikolay Shumilin told news agency “PenzaNews,” the match was held at the stadium “Pervomayskiy” in Penza on Thursday, August 9, and ended with a victory for the home team, 2:0.

“Both goals were scored in the first half, Aleksey Antonnikov scored on 11 and 21 minutes,” he said.

Nikolay Shumilin added that in the second half Zenit had an opportunity to score again but Denis Bulatov did not use the chance to.

The next match Zenit will play against Spartak from Tambov on Tuesday, August 14.

Currently, Penza team ranked fifth in the standings.
