Penza athlete wins Olympic gold in rhythmic gymnastics

Penza, 13 August 2012. PenzaNews. Penza athlete Anastasia Bliznyuk won the gold medal in rhythmic gymnastics group all-around being part of the Russian national team. The group event took place on the final day of the Olympics in London on Sunday, August 12.

The Russian gymnasts were the best in the first exercise with five balls and kept the lead when performed the second — with three ribbons and two hoops, all in all gaining 57 points.

Belarusian and Italian athletes got silver and bronze respectively.
