Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree to award the athletes, including Penza sportsmen, with state awards “For great contribution to the development of physical culture and sports, high sporting achievements at the Games of XXX Olympiad in London, 2012.”

According to the internet service “Penza-Sport,” gymnast Denis Ablyazin, swimmer Anastasia Zueva and diver Yevgeny Kuznetsov will be awarded with the medal of the “Order for Merit to the Fatherland” (Degree I).

Swimmer Sergey Fesikov will get the medal of the “Order for Merit to the Fatherland” (Degree II).

Gymnast Anastasia Bliznyuk will be awarded with the medal of the “Order of Friendship.”

The ceremony will take place in the Alexander Hall of the Great Kremlin Palace on Wednesday, August 15.
