Penza hockey player scored in Canada–Russia match

Penza, 15 August 2012. PenzaNews. Russian junior team, which comprises Penza Hockey School player Anton Slepyshov and Diesel forward Andrey Sigarev, lost in the “Canada-Russia Challenge” Super Series.

As reported by the press service of the Russian Hockey Federation (RHF), in the second match in Halifax, which took place on Tuesday, August 14, Canada’s national team won in regulation 4:2 and thus equalized the score level in the Series – 2:2, and then won in overtime.

“Andrey Sigarev scored in the beginning of the match and chalked up the first goal of Russia. However, the owners of the ice immediately recouped. In the second period, Albert Yarullin again led the national team forward. But the Russian team could not hold a lead – Canada scored three powerplay goals,” said FHR.
