Penza, 25 August 2012. PenzaNews. The third Summer Bowling Championship among media workers of the Penza region organized by news agency PenzaNews was held in karting club Shikana on Friday, August 24. Six teams of four people each took part in the competition: broadcasting company Express, State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company Penza, radio station Russkoe Radio, newspapers Penzenskaya Pravda and Pro Gorod and combined team of journalists of regional newspapers.

In the main stage of the championship the teams bowled three games of 10 frames each. In the first game, the combined team of journalists of regional newspapers became a leader with 408 points, however then it was left behind by the reportes of Penzenskaya Pravda whose team name was “Panic Attack.” They scored 510 points. In the third and final game of the tournament’s main stage representatives of the newspaper Pro Gorod were the best with 462 points.

Thus, the top three finalists included the teams of Pro Gorod which scored 1,285 points in the first three games, the combined team of journalists of regional newspapers with 1,250 points and Penzenskaya Pravda with 1,201 points.

Much importance was placed on the personal achievements of the players as the organizers of the championship followed their results, identifying the strongest of them.

The player of broadcasting company Express Oleg Prokofiev scored 138 points and became the leader in the first game. The journalist of Penzenskaya Pravda Vladislav Belyakov became the best with 152 points in the second game of the championship. However, representative of regional newspapers, technical editor of “Our newspaper – Bessonovsky news” Daniel Pasechnuy became the leader of the two games with 255 points.

In the third game two journalists Mikhail Begutov and Daniel Pasechnuy were the best with 146 points. The latter, however, hold the advantage due to earlier success – in the first three games Daniel Pasechnuy scored 401 points.

In the final, the team had one tense game of ten frames. The players demonstrated mastery of bowling techniques and competed in a number of strikes.

As a result, the team Pro Gorod became the winner of the competition, the journalists of which scored 411 points in the finals. News agency PenzaNews presented the players with 500GB hard drives, JSC Rostelecom awarded the team with a car GPS-navigator. Besides the players got other presents from the partners of the tournament: the certificates with “golden” numbers from NSS, branded mugs, 2GB memory sticks and souvenirs from Penza branch of Sberbank and four karting certificates from Shikana club.

The newspaper Penzenskaya Pravda became the second with 393 points. News agency PenzaNews presented the players with 64 GB USB-drives, JSC Rostelecom awarded the team with the set of tools for meat cooking. Besides the players got souvenirs from Penza branch of Sberbank, a cake from NSS and four bowling certificates from Shikana club.

Only one point decided the fate of the team of regional newspapers: it became the third with 392 points. The team received an e-book and a mini-keyboard JSC Rostelecom, a cake from NSS and souvenirs from Penza branch of Sberbank.

Daniel Pasechnuy who became the best player of the third Summer Bowling Championship among media workers of the Penza region with 532 points won the grand prize – a netbook Samsung with the licensed program Windows 7 from news agency PenzaNews and some other prizes from Penza branch of Sberbank.

Some other prizes – a portable radio, Laptop Cooling Pads, Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 Antivirus, USB-readers, an outdoors grill – were raffled as well.

For the first time in the history of the Summer Bowling Championship among Penza journalists there was live twitter broadcast of the event in the microblog “Rostelecom-Penza.”

The championship on bowling among employees of mass media of the Penza region was organized for the first time by news agency PenzaNews in 2010. Six teams took part in the competition then, each of which consisted of employees of one edition. The employees of broadcasting companies Nash Dom, Express, Penza, Zarechny, radio stations Dobrie Pesny and newspaper Penzenskaya Prava were among the participants of the tournament.

Following the results of the competition, the first place was taken by Broadcasting Company Nash Dom, they got 763 points, the second place was taken by the team of radio station Dobrie Pesny and the third place was taken by Broadcasting Company Express.

The second summer championship on bowling among the representatives of mass media of the Penza region took place in August 2011. Eight teams took part in it: Russkoe Radio, Masterskaya-TV, Penzenskaya Pravda, GTRK Penza, Broadcasting Company Zarechny, Penza-TV, Stary Val and Broadcasting Company Nash Dom.

The team Russkoe Radio became the winner of the competition, the team Masterskaya-TV took the second place and the team Penzenskaya Pravda took the third place.
