Penza billiard player, a 17-year-old member of the Russian national team, Alexander Muravyov said that he managed to got all the titles, which he dreamed of, and finish his junior career with a victory at the team competition at the Cup of Russia. “I was preparing for the tournament in Ulyanovsk for a long time as we had never won team competition among young men before. The Penza region team showed the best result in 2010 and took the third place,” the billiard player said during a press conference at the press center of news agency PenzaNews on Thursday, August 30.

Alexander Muravyov stressed that he would not win the Cup of Russia alone.

“Nikita Bashkirov and Evgeny Romanenko played very well, so it is our common victory,” the athlete said.

According to Alexander Muravyov, the next tournament, in which he will participate as an adult player, will be the team championship of Russia among men in Krasnodar, and then — World Cup in Sudak.

As reported earlier, the Penza region billiard team of Alexander Muravyov, Nikita Bashkirov and Evgeny Romanenko won the team competition at the Cup of Russia among juvenile in Ulyanovsk.

Penza team won Khabarovsk team in the final with a score 3:1. Alexander Muravyov won Pavel Skovychev, 3:0 and 2:0. Nikita Bashkirov won Robert Gambaryan, 3:1. Evgeny Romanenko lost Nikolay Mikhaylichenko 0:3.

Moscow billiard players became bronze medalists of the tournament and won the team from Rostov-on-Don.
