Penza, 13 September 2012. PenzaNews. Penza billiard player Alexander Muravyov began the third stage of the World Cup on free pyramid for men, which started in Sudak, Ukraine, with his defeat on September 13.

According to Penza billiard school coach Igor Yasinetsky, the first round opponent of his pupil was a Ukrainian, Stanislav Khoruzhenko.

“Alexander began the round confidently, he was leading with score 3:0, but the opponent took the initiative and finally gained the victory with score 5:4. Our player will continue competing in the lower membership of the tournament. We have a chance to succeed,” he clarified.

There are 94 competitors from 9 countries — Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The prize fund of the Cup for men is 22 thousand dollars.
