Russian Running Race Day “Cross of Nations – 2012” will be held at the Olympic alley in Penza on Sunday, September 23. “This is the biggest athletic competition in Russia, which this year will take place in 80 cities simultaneously. It is expected that 7,5 thousand people will participate in this race in Penza,” informs the Internet service “Penza-Sport” with reference to the Acting Chairman of the Regional Committee of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism Artur Panteleev.

According to him, in 2013 these kinds of races will be carried out not only in Penza, but also in other cities and towns of the area.

“This way, “Cross of Nations” will be held next fall in Kuznetsk, and “Russian azimuth” and “Ski Track of Russia” — in Zarechny,” he clarified.

According to the regulations of the competition, races of professional athletes — boys, girls, men and women on the racing tracks of 4 to 12 km will be held at 10.00 am. Young athletes of Penza are scheduled to race at 11.20 am. At 11.40 am in the VIP-race zone the officials are going to take part in the race. The rest of people – residents of Penza are to start off at 12.00 am.

To participate in this event, you must have an official paper of doctor’s approval or a health passport.
