Penza, 1 October 2012. PenzaNews. Regional championship in summer biathlon with 35 participants representing 11 teams from Nikolsky, Serdobsky, Kolyshleysky, Nizhnelomovsky, Zemetchinsky, and Bessonovsky areas was held in Nizhny Lomov.

According to the press secretary of the Regional Committee for Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism Yuliya Volkonitina, the participants were young men born in 1995 and younger.

“Athletes of Nikolsky won the competition, silver went to the representatives of Serdobsk, and the third result was shown by the team of Nikolsky area,” she specified.

Biathletes took a 4-kilometer distance with two shooting points, and shot from a standing position with a standard air rifle.
