Penza, 3 October 2012. PenzaNews. Penza athlete Nikita Marin won the All-Russian competition “Junior Sambo Wrestler – 2012” in weight category of up to 50 kg among boys, born 1998-2000, which took place in Balashov.

According to the City Committee of Physical Culture, Sports and Youth Policy, silver medalists in weight categories of up to 42 kg and 55 kg are Penza wrestlers Pavel Kulenkov and Danila Malkov, respectively.

“At the same time the open championship of the Saratov region among boys, born 1996-1998 was on. Penza sambo wrestlers performed well again — Vladislav Stepanov took the first place in weight category of up to 46 kg, bronze went to Ilya Lavrentyev and Nzhde Nahapetyan in weight categories of up to 50 kg and 55 kg, respectively,” explained in the city sports committee.

138 athletes took part in the competition. They came from Saratov, Samara, Engels, Voronezh, Tolyatti, Syzran, Balakovo, Balashov and Penza, which was represented by the students of Children’s and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve “Vityaz.”
