Penza, 4 October 2012. PenzaNews. Penza athlete, multiple world and European champion Alexei Kharitonov won bronze at the international championship in sambo wrestling as a part of the World Cup for prizes of Merited Master of Sports of Russia Aslambek Aslakhanov finished in Moscow.

According to the press service of Russian Sambo Federation, Penza wrestler performed in the weight category of up to 68 kg.

“Another Russian athlete won in this category — Nikita Kletskov, silver medal went to Dmitry Bazylev from Belarus,” explained the press service.

Sambo wrestlers from 17 countries participated in the competition. Russian men’s team won five gold, two silver, and eight bronze medals, women’s team gained seven gold, four silver, and two bronze medals.
