Penza regional boxing school received second batch of equipment from Nikolai Valuev

Several sets of equipment for competitions and training were received by “Usadba Zubrilovka” boxing club in Tamalinsky area, the Penza region, as a gift from the world ex-champion in heavyweight boxing Nikolai Valuev. The package, which the young athletes and their coaches opened on Tuesday evening, October 16, had the uniform, helmets, gloves, boots, weighted balls, boxing paws.
Earlier Nikolai Valuev donated 58 kg of protein nutrition to the same boxing school.
“This is an expensive component, which is used by the athletes, who exercise intensively,” the coach Yuri Uzbekov explained, adding that this amount of nutrition should be enough for the leading boxers of the club for about a year.According to newspaper “Organizator,” attention of the boxing world ex-champion Nikolai Valuev to the development of boxing in Tamalinsky area stimulates interest to this kind of sport among the local residents.
As reported earlier, in 2011, Nikolai Valuev attended an open inter-regional boxing championship among students dedicated to the Hero of Russia Roman Kitanin held in Tamala, the Penza region. He later stated that the money received as a compensation for moral damage from LLC “Kinoprokat,” which aired a video featuring Nikolai Valuev in movie theater “Sovremennik” in Penza, will be spent to purchase equipment for Tamalinsky area boxing school.
