Over 40 athletes and approximately 3 thousand supporters gathered at “Virazh” racetrack in Penza

Penza, 28 January 2013. PenzaNews. Over 40 athletes from Penza, Moscow, Tambov, Saratov, Lipetsk and other cities of Russia took part in the circular track racing held at “Virazh” racetrack in Penza on Sunday, January 27.

Competitions were held in groups of “Volga,” “A-1600,” “Drive2” and “Classic.” The result of each group was based on the sum of points earned in four rounds.
According to the organizers, all the participants had summer tyres.
As the press service of city administration told news agency “PenzaNews,” Penza racing drivers were ahead of all in the group of front-wheel drive cars — the first place was shared by Alexei Demyanov and Alexander Gorshenev, and the second and the third places were taken by Dmitry Ulanov and Alexander Samsonov respectively.
“The winner in the “Volga” group was the representative of Nizhny Novgorod Andrei Chesnokov, Penza resident Stanislav Dumshev came second. In rear-wheel drive cars category the first prize went to Andrei Artem from Tambov,” the press service of city administration added.
The number of supporters who attended the circular track racing at “Virazh” racetrack amounted to around three thousand people.
