Record of Russia broken again at championship in track and field athletics in Penza

Penza, 4 February 2013. PenzaNews. Elena Bezruchenko from the Rostov region set a new record of Russia in the shot put at the national championship in track and field athletics among boys and girls in Penza with the result 17,46 meters.

According to the head coach of the Russian junior team Viktor Shpak, in 2012 female athletes switched from pushing a four-kilo-shot to a three-kilo-shot.

“Thus, the record report of three-kilo-shots began with the previous year. The starting standard for the national record was 16 meters. Last year it was left unbeaten, and this year two athletes broke it, including the new record holder Elena Bezruchenko,” he said.

Another Russian record was set in 400-meter sprint race among boys — Ilya Krasnov from the Irkutsk region who covered the distance in 48,26 seconds.

As news agency PenzaNews reported earlier, Kristina Sivkova broke Russian record in 60-meter-distance race during the competition in Penza, covering the distance in 7,41 seconds.

Moreover, a world record was set in pole-vaulting among girls by Alyona Lutkovskaya representing the Irkutsk region, conquered 4,3-meter-hight.
