The governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev thanked the winners of national and international youth championships for their achievements, at a meeting with the athletes on Thursday, March 7. “Coaches and parents are proud of you. I have no doubt that you have great future, but it requires a lot of work, training, setting the most difficult tasks, and accomplishing them. You are all young, beautiful, strong and healthy. You have good school, and records are waiting for you,” the head of the region said.

Vasily Bochkarev expressed hope that the athletes will go further in the future and please their fans with new awards.

“Although, we are still losing in rhythmic gymnastics, swimming, and diving to the leading countries, but I would like Penza athletes to be proper competitors for their opponents,” he stressed.
