Penza swimmer Vitaliy Borisov won gold at Monte Carlo tournament

Penza, 10 June 2013. PenzaNews. Penza swimmer Vitaliy Borisov won the first stage of the Mediterranean International Tournament “Mare Nostrum 2013” held in Monte Carlo.

The athlete came first in a 100-meter backstroke contest with 55,52 seconds. The second came Hungarian Peter Berneck with 55,59 seconds, and the third was Frenchman Benjamin Stasiulis with 55,81 seconds.

Vitaliy Borisov won silver covering the distance of 50 meters backstroke within 25,56 seconds. Jeremy Stravius from France set a record of the tournament — 24,61 seconds.

Another Penza athlete Oleg Utekhin won bronze at 50-meter distance breaststroke with 28,44 seconds being bypassed by German Hendrik Feldver and Slovak Damir Dugonzhich, the Internet service “Penza-Sport” reported.
