Penza, 4 July 2013. PenzaNews. The management of the company Transneft does not exclude a possibility of providing financial support to Penza Hockey Club Diesel performing in the championship of the Major Hockey League. This was announced by the governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev.

“We negotiated with Transneft. If everything works out, then in a week I will be able to say if the president of the company has made a decision of supporting Diesel,” the head of the region Vasily Bochkarev said during a meeting with journalists in Penza Airport after returning from Moscow, where he was with a working visit.

The governor added that during the negotiations he announced a specific amount which is required to support the hockey team, but the head of the region refused to specify it.

As news agency PenzaNews reported earlier, in autumn 2012 Penza Club Diesel could have missed VHL championship due to the fact that the club management did not provide two required documents, one of which was a letter confirming financial guarantees of the club for the season in the amount of 100 million rubles.

The corresponding document was signed by governor Vasily Bochkarev and sent to VHL only on October 2. After that, it was decided to admit Diesel to the tournament.
