Penza swimmer Sergei Fesikov wins gold of Universiade in Kazan

Penza, 11 July 2013. PenzaNews. Penza athlete Sergei Fesikov won the gold medal in swimming tournament of XXVII World Summer Universiade in Kazan.

The athlete became the champion in crawl stroke relay 4 by 100 meters.

The national team was also represented by Andrey Grechin, Danila Izotov, Evgeny Lagunov, Nikita Lobintsev, Vladimir Morozov, and Alexander Sukhorukov.

In the final swim Russian athletes established a record of Universiade overcoming the distance in 3 minutes 10,88 seconds.

Silver went to Australians — 3 minutes 16,33 seconds, bronze was taken by the representatives of Italy with 3 minutes 16,64 seconds, the Internet service “Penza-Sport” reported.
