Penza gymnast Anastasia Bliznyuk wins two gold medals of Universiade in Kazan

Kazan, 16 July 2013. PenzaNews. Athlete Anastasia Bliznyuk representing the Penza region in the national team of Russia won two gold medals at the rhythmic gymnastics tournament in XXVI World Summer Universiade in Kazan.

First, she excelled in the group all-around performing with Elena Romanchenko, Olga Ilyina, Anastasia Nazarenko, Ksenia Dudkina, and Anastasia Maksimova.

Russian gymnasts scored 35,100 points. Silver and bronze medals went to Ukrainian and Japanese athletes who earned 32,599 and 31,666 points respectively.

Anastasia Bliznyuk won the second prize in the team exercise with 10 clubs. Russian team was fighting for the medals in the same line-up and scored 17,433 points.

The second result was demonstrated by Japanese athletes — 16,900 points, the third place was taken by the representative of Ukraine — 16,533 points, the Internet service “Penza-Sport” reported.
