Swimmer from Penza reached final of World Championship as part of Russian team

Penza, 30 August 2013. PenzaNews. The Russian team, one of the members of which is Valeria Kolotushkina — a swimmer from Penza, reached the final of the Junior World Championship in Dubai in the relay 4 by 100 meters freestyle.

Three more athletes participated in a preliminary swim together with Valeria Kolotushkin — Daria Ustinova, Anastasia Guzhenkova and Valeria Salamatina.

Russians came third having covered the distance in 3 minutes 45,48 seconds.

Australian athletes became the winners with the result 3 minutes 44,56 seconds.

The second place was taken by American swimmers with 3 minutes 45,09 seconds.

The top eight teams to continue competing for the first place in the finals are also the teams of Slovenia, France, Canada, Brazil and Hong Kong, the Internet service “Penza-Sport” reported.
