Penza, 3 September 2013. PenzaNews. Penza athlete Irina Marfina won a bronze medal in the Second European Championship in International Checkers among men and women with hearing impairment, which was held in Grodno, Belarus.

The games were organized according to the Swiss system in seven rounds. At the end of the competition, Irina Marfina scored nine points.

The winner of the competition became Elena Zanuda, the athlete from Ukraine, a silver medal went to her compatriot Natalia Odarchenko.

12 athletes-women from Russia, Israel, Belarus, Ukraine and Moldova were competing in the tournament, the Internet service “Penza-Sport” reported.
