Penza, 3 October 2013. PenzaNews. Penza athlete Sofia Smagina reached the 1/8 final of Russian Championship in doubles, which is held in indoors courts of Kazan Tennis Academy.

Playing doubles with the local school trainee Polina Novoselova, she outplayed Sofia Wineberg from Zhukovsky and Aliya Tarpischeva from Moscow – 3:6, 6:2, 10:6.

The start in a single-play group was not that successful – she was dropped out after the first lap, yielding the two-set match to Kseniya Kirillova from Korolev – 3:6, 3:6, the Internet service “Penza-sport” reported.
