“What shall we do without Dmitry Koryagin? It is good that such people exist. We need to be grateful to him. Of course, the holy place is never empty. But you should know that he does a lot. It is he, who I should thank for being here. He is concerned about hockey and wants it to be on high level. To be honest, it is not that easy to find a person like him,” Andrei Sidorenko said during the press conference, which was organized after the game between “Diesel” and “Sarov,” where the Penza club won confidently by a score of 3:0.

He also reminded that it was Dmitry Koryagin who invited him to “Diesel.”

“I know how to work with this man and I feel comfortable working with him. He looks ahead, he strives for development. And if he is dismissed, I will go with him,” the Penza team mentor noticed.

According to Andrei Sidorenko, the current situation, concerning the club and its work, sounds like misapprehension.

“I got to Penza one hour before the match start. I will continue mentoring the team. I just did not understand what actually happened here. It looks like misapprehension. At present I am the club mentor. The players wrote the letter and sent it, but I have nothing to do with it,” he said.

Andrei Sidorenko did not clearly answered the question whether he would consider pursuing the career in one of the Continental Hockey League clubs, adding that everything would depend on the position of the top authorities.
