Penza track and field athlete sets record of Russia at championship of veterans

Penza, 22 October 2013. PenzaNews. Penza track and field athlete Yuri Saraev set a record of Russia in 200-meter running at the XXIII Open Russian Individual-Team Championship of veterans at the Olympic Centre Stadium named after the Znamensky Brothers in Moscow.

The athlete performed in the age group M75 and covered the distance in 31,2 seconds.

In total 452 people participated in the competition – 350 males and 102 females, who represented 60 regions of Russia as well as Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Estonia and Latvia.

There were 15 Russian records set, veterans achieved the same high results in three other disciplines, the Internet service “Penza-sport” reported.
