Penza, 19 November 2013. PenzaNews. 19-year-old master of sports from Penza Alexander Muravyov won the tenth Russian Billiards Tournament in the discipline “Free Pyramid” in commemoration of Nikolai Lemaev, held in Nizhnekamsk.
On the way to the playoffs, the young man beat the rivals from Almetyevsk and Nizhnekamsk and lost playing with the athlete from Yekaterinburg.
At the stage of 1/8 finals the billiard player left no chances to Oleg Erkulev from Orenburg: 6:1. In the next round in a tough fight, he beat Evgeny Krasnov from Kazan with the score 6:4, in the semifinals he defeated Armen Gabrielyan from Lipetsk, losing just one set: 6:1.
In the final, Alexander Muravyov confidently got victory playing with Anatoly Dmitriev from Orenburg: 7:1.
45 participants from different cities of Russia as well as billiard players from Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan fought for top places, the Internet service “Penza-Sport” reports.
