Penza, 29 November 2013. PenzaNews. The event dedicated to the first anniversary of the sports club for people with disabilities housing the chess class was held in Penza on Friday, November 29.

Representatives of the regional parliament and the City Sports Committee together with the sponsors came to congratulate the club administration and its attendees.

The deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region, the chairman of Bank Kuznetsky Mikhail Dralin remarked that the club was created due to the enthusiasm of the devoted people, including the president of the regional public organization “Povolzhye” Vladimir Novikov.

“It was really hard to do sport without a special place, having no opportunity to train together for eleven years. I am glad that thanks to joint efforts, a year ago we found such place. We were able to accomplish a good deed and it is a wonderful thing,” he said.

After the official part, there were held friendly chess and checks tournaments.
