Penza track and field athlete wins silver of Gymnasiade in Brazil

Penza, 2 December 2013. PenzaNews. Penza track and field athlete Denis Bashkirtsev won silver medal of Gymnasiade, which is being held in Brazil.

The press service of the regional school of Olympic reserve told news agency PenzaNews that the athlete distinguished himself in running 1,5 km.

Gymnasiade is held among boys and girls born in 1996-1997. The events include track and field athletics, gymnastics, swimming, chess, judo and karate.

110 athletes represent Russia.

The competition will last until Wednesday, December 4.
