Penza, 12 December 2013. PenzaNews. In 2013, the Penza region will get an aid grant as co-financing of construction projects within the framework of the federal target program “Development of Physical Culture and Sports in the Russian Federation in 2006–2015.”

The distribution of the funds in the amount of 4 billion 747,6 million rubles between 57 subordinate entities of the Federation was approved by the order of the government of the Russian Federation, signed by the Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

It is planned to use these funds to build 116 sports venues, including 27 multifunctional sports complexes and 25 gyms, 10 swimming pools, 14 ice rinks, 20 plate structures and the same number of special constructions: cycling tracks, trails and bike lanes.

Under the terms of co-financing there is conducted a construction of a football stadium for 10,5 thousand spectators in Maikop, a sports palace with a swimming pool, a skating rink and a multi-purpose gym in Vyborg, and an ice palace for 500 spectators in Krasnokamsk.

As news agency PenzaNews reported earlier, on 5 November 2013 in the course of the briefing in the government of the Penza region the governor Vasily Bochkarev reprimanded the chairman of the regional committee of physical culture and sports Artur Panteleev “for omissions in work.”

Among the claims addressed to the head of the sports department, the head of the region mentioned that “he has not yet brought to the region 45 million rubles the federal budget allocated to us.”
