Sergei Fesikov wins gold and silver at European Swimming Championship

Penza, 16 December 2013. PenzaNews. The Penza athlete Sergei Fesikov won two medals – gold and silver – at the European Swimming Championship in Danish Herning on the final day of the competition.

First, the swimmer finished second in the 100 meter medley swimming showing the time of 52,23 seconds and giving way to the compatriot Vladimir Morozov, who overcame the distance for 51,20 seconds.

Then, Sergei Fesikov distinguished himself in the Russian national team which was leading in the 4x50 meter freestyle relay race with the world record – 1 minute 23,36 seconds. Along with the Penza resident, Vladimir Morozov, Evgeny Lagunov and Nikita Konovalov took part in the race.

The day before, Sergei Fesikov together with Vladimir Morozov, Rozaliya Nasretdinova, Veronika Popova became winners in the 4x50 meter mixed crawl relay, the Internet service “Penza-Sport” reports.
