Penza, 7 January 2014. PenzaNews. Russia’s youth team, including forward from “Diesel” Georgy Busarov and Penza hockey school pupil Anton Slepyshev, won bronze of the world hockey championship held in Sweden.

“In the decisive match the national team defeated its rival – Canada’s team – with the score of 2:1,” the press service of the Russian Hockey Federation told news agency “PenzaNews.”

The RHF added that the goals were scored by Mikhail Grigorenko and Eduard Gimatov.

As the head coach of the Russian national team Mikhail Varnakov noted, luck came back to the hockey players because they deserved it.

“Guys had injuries, it was planned that some people would not take part in the match, but all of them came. That says a lot,” he stressed.
