Penza, 7 February 2014. PenzaNews. Dmitry Koryagin, who left the position of the executive director of Penza Hockey Club “Diesel” in October 2013, was newly appointed to this position. As the deputy chairman of the regional government Vladimir Maltsev informed, the decision was made by the board of the club on Friday, February 7.

“Due to the situation developed in the club which obviously affects the results of the team, the board decided to reappoint Dmitry Koryagin the executive director of “Diesel.” He is well-know, he has a track record, and he knows the team,” Vladimir Maltsev pointed out during a meeting with reporters in the sports and entertainment complex “Diesel-Arena.”

In turn, Dmitry Koryagin said he would do everything possible to break the deadlock in the team which is on the verge of relegation from the playoffs.

“I will join in the work quickly,” he promised.

According to Dmitry Koryagin, he intends to carefully analyze the staff and resume active cooperation with the hockey club “Lokomotiv.”

In particular, he did not rule out the possibility of returning goalkeeper Yuri Klyuchnikov, and Andrey Sidorenko as the head coach “for at least two months” so that he helped Penza mentors.

Dmitry Koryagin explained that his return was initiated by the governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev — a proposal was submitted on Thursday morning, February 6, and in the evening he gave a positive response.
