Native of Penza region took fourth place at Paralympics

Penza, 11 March 2014. PenzaNews. A 16-year-old native of Kozlovka village, Lopatinsky area, the Penza region, Alexander Pronkov came one step short of a medal at the Paralympic Games in Sochi in biathlon race at 12,5 km, held on Tuesday, March 11.

Gold was taken by the Russian Azat Karachurin. Silver medal went to Nils Erik Ulset from Norway, and bronze — to Canadian Mark Arends.

Alexander Pronkov participated in the Games on Saturday, March 8. He took part in biathlon race at 7,5 km and came tenth.

The next performance of the athlete will be on Wednesday, March 12. Men will compete in 1 km sprint freestyle standing.
