State government to allocate funds for development of sports in rural schools of Penza region

Moscow, 2 April 2014. PenzaNews. Subsidy of 18,9 million rubles will be provided to the Penza region from the federal budget for the development of sports facilities in rural schools of the Penza region in 2014.

The total fund of subsidies allocated for this purpose from the state budget amounted to 1,8 billion rubles. The distribution of funds between 82 regions of the Russian Federation, including the Crimea and Sevastopol was approved by the decree of the Russian government signed by prime minister Dmitry Medvedev.

It is expected that the subsidy will be used to repair gyms, reconstruction of existing facilities for those of physical education and sports, necessary sports equipment and supplies, as well as the development and construction of public sports clubs and open-air sports facilities.

“The subsidy will help to create the conditions for physical culture and sports in educational institutions located in rural areas,” the press service of the Russian government told news agency “PenzaNews.”
