Triathlete Alexander Bryukhankov showed best result among Russians in World Series

Penza, 7 April 2014. PenzaNews. Alexander Bryukhankov presenting the Penza region and Moscow took the 14th place in the first stage of the World Triathlon Series, which was held in New Zealand.

The athlete covered the distance in 1 hour 57 minutes 9 seconds. His result was the best among the Russians.

Spanish athlete Javier Gomez became the winner. English triathlete Jonathan Brownlee came second, and bronze went to Aaron Rowley from Australia.

The competitions gathered 65 athletes.

The distance included 1,5 km swimming race, 40,724-meter bicycle race and 10 km heat, the Internet service “Penza-Sport” reported.
