FINA delegate to ensure Penza ready for platform diving world championship

Penza, 8 May 2014. PenzaNews. Michael Geissbuhler, technical delegate for FINA, arrived in Penza for a one-day working trip on Thursday, May 8.
He plans to inspect the objects that will be used during the Junior Platform Diving World Championship on September 8-15, 2014.
Michael Geissbuhler had already visited the “Burtasy” sports palace and was satisfied with what he had seen.
“I feel completely secure about running the competition of such level. I think they will get through at a very good level, because the organizers have great experience […] and great work had been made up to now. Russia is famous for its platform divers and its sports competition organization. You have very good equipment here, and I liked the sports palace altogether very much,” shared his impressions FINA technical delegate.
Michael Geissbuhler is also expected to inspect the future housing locations for the championship competitors and meet Yury Krivov, chairman of Penza region, press center of regional sports committee reporting.
