Penza, 2 July 2014. PenzaNews. PSU team became the winner of the final competition in athletics at IV All-Russian Summer Universiade.

The competitions were held at stadium “Pervomaysky.” 277 athletes from 17 universities of Russia came to partivcipate.

As the press service of sports training center of the Penza region, the athletes competed for awards in 12 cross-country disciplines, race walking, long, high and vault jump, triple jump, discus, hammer and javelin throw, and also in shotput.

“The first place in the team standings was taken by Penza State University team. The second place belongs to the Far Eastern Federal University. The third strongest team is the Russian State University of Physical Culture,” the press service of the regional center of sports training informed.
