Penza, 19 August 2014. PenzaNews. Swimmer Sergei Fesikov, who was representing the Penza region, was among the winners of the European Championships in Aquatics, which takes place in Berlin, Germany.

Before the decisive event, the sportsman had competed in the preliminary stage 4-by-100 crawl swimming relay for the Russian team.

The Russian team ended up second in the finals, going after the French and overpcoming the Italians.

The Russian female team, which included a Penza swimmer Victoria Andreeva, came fourth in the same discipline, the web-based news agency “Penza-Sport” reported.
