Anton Smirnov, general director of “Aleteya”, will represent the player.
According to him, Ivan Smolkin considers his layoff to be illegal and demands to change the phrasing of the reason in his workbook, an average wage payment for his forced unemployment time, and compensation for moral damages.
“The player was laid off via e-mail, while the parties had no agreement on maintaining electronic document exchange. There are no documents signed by both parties. However, the club considered the player to be laid off and sent him his workbook with a layoff record,” Anton Smirnov explained.
If the court of the first instance refuses to satisfy Ivan Smolkin’s claims, the speaker added, the footballer plans to appeal it in the regional court, Onedivision.ru reports.
