Penza, 27 April 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza Rugby sevens team “Imperia” has reached the ninth place after the first tour of the Russian Rugby sevens championship in Kazan.

The Penza team lost three matches during the group session against “VVA-Podmoskovye” from Monino, “Krasny Yar” from Krasnoyarsk and “Slava-TSP,” and a single victory against “UOR” from the Moscow region.

Afterwards, the Penza rugby players matched against Dagestan.

“Our men had no troubles during the match. They led with confidence, and only let enemy slip once after getting a little bit too relaxed. The final count favored ‘Imperia’ at 26:5,” the press attaché of the Penza club Andrey Dyomin informed PenzaNews agency.

The second tour of the Russian Rugby sevens championship will be held in the town of Monino, the Moscow region, on May 1-2.
